For plants, skip poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly, as they can be toxic to pets — try artificial greenery or pet-safe options like Christmas cactus.

2. Secure Your Christmas Tree

   Pets (especially cats) may see your Christmas tree as a climbing challenge! Anchor the tree to the wall or ceiling to prevent it from tipping over. Consider a smaller, tabletop tree if you have a particularly curious pet. Avoid edible ornaments, like popcorn garlands, which can tempt pets to nibble.
