Kingsland Junction has a site ‘big enough that we could do something very special’

The massive building site on prime land at Macleod Trail and 77th Avenue S.W. has been dubbed Kingsland Junction, a five-building mixed-use development with retail, commercial and rental residences.

“We were so excited when the opportunity arose. The site was big enough that we could do something very special, ”says Wanda Palmer, vice-president of marketing for Trico.

By offering a variety of housing options for rent, rather than for sale, Palmer says Kingsland Junction will bring people of all ages together in an inclusive, healthy community that will nurture a higher quality of life. She refers to it as “full-spectrum” housing with something for everyone, including those who want to age in place.

“We’re doing a lot of work to create this. Kingsland Junction is going to encourage total health and wellness, provide opportunities for social interaction and create a very safe and beautiful place for the residents and the greater community to gather,” she says.
