Cathy Lockhart

Cathy is Trico LivingWell’s Director of Nursing. Cathy began her career as a registered nurse in the areas of maternity and the NICU, where she developed her skills in relationship-centred care. While raising her children, Cathy took a brief hiatus from nursing and worked in advertising and corporate design. Throughout her life, she enjoyed many meals with her grandparents and wanted to help other older adults live a life of meaning and purpose. She knew she needed to return to nursing, specifically senior living.

For 10 years, Cathy worked in a nursing leadership role in a retirement residence in Calgary. During that time, she was the recipient of several regional and national awards for clinical leadership. Cathy was fortunate to lead a high performing clinical team who regularly surpassed provincial audit requirements and as a result, she was featured in the 2017 Health Quality Council of Alberta’s Annual Report. Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time with her sons, family, and friends, as well as exercising and doing puzzles.
