In June 2018, Laurel retired from the position of Executive Vice President, Clients & Services at MNP, having joined the firm in 2002. In her most recent role, she was responsible for leadership of all of MNP’s service lines, industry and niche specialty groups, as well as the firm’s award winning Marketing department. Earlier in her career, Laurel spent 14 years in Management Consulting with two global professional services firms; EY and Arthur Andersen.

Laurel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and an MBA, is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Always active in her community, Laurel has been involved in a number of business, educational & charitable boards and committees, both in Winnipeg and Calgary. Today, Laurel is the Board Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary, and a Director of the Trico Group.

In 2009, Laurel was honoured by the Women’s Executive Network as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.
